I had never used a UPnP server before. I activated it on my QNAP TS-201 NAS sever, copied music files to the QNAP, started PlugPlayer on the iPod Touch, and thats it, I could see all my music on the iPod. It worked also like a charm for videos. Worth every cent.

Do not buy it if you need to see the movie from a media server without convert the movie with subtitles before. The program just call the video program that you have in your device and doesnt care about the rest. Also, if you need support the service desk are very impolite and aggressive with your questions.

i buy plugplayer but i canot see nothing from serviio media server, no music no videos, nothing very disappointed wasted money !

Version 4.2 does not work at all with videos (avi, etc), am using PS3 Media server with it, which is working perfectly well with my TV. €3.99 waisted, I expect refunding

Playlist feature partly unusable because previous song sometimes stops at 0:01. Please fix. I paid for this app.

Lists take a very long time to get displayed. Very often an error messages shows up telling "error -207 reading directory" Its sad having payed money for it.

Everytime i try to Play a Song to my Sony upnp HiFi System, Song Starts ans in The middle the app Crashs. Lost Money

PlugPlayer works good for me! I am glad I bought it despite the bad notes of other users. To make it work (for me) I had to change the PlugPlayer settings: I had to switch on WLAN in PlugPlayer "extended settings" (Einstellungen App / PlugPlayer / WIFI trotz Sperre in German). Thereafter it did not hang anymore and everything is fine. Before I changed those settings PlugPlayer stoped working continuously, did not play in the background and I thought it to be useless. I use it together with SonyBravia TV, Pioneer LX 86 AV Receiver and a Twonkey Media UPNP Server. I really like PlugPlayer. I like its simple but powerful user-interface. It works. I didnt find a better UPNP / DLNA controlpoint app - not for iOS and not for Windows Phone.

App does not recognise NAS harddrive (SONOS recognises it no problem. Please refund money.

Run away! Doesnt work with any of my media serving devices (and I have a few to choose from). Reported a problem with Apple and the developer. Have not heard from anyone to resolve this. How do I get my money back??

Tried with tversity

I decided to ignore the revews and try it myself. What a waste of 5 bucks. Doesnt play anything and might have crashed my TwonyVision server (no longer appears on the list). Waste of money!!

Been working with the designer to make this app perfect,and we did just that. This app is the best when it comes to streaming video, music and pictures from your computer to you iPhone/iPod touch. With this price, you will not be disappointed.

Im an experienced user and unfortunately this app is not yet ready for the mainstream. It crashes often when browsing folders to select media and would not play any of my video files (and yes they were iPhone compatible). I hope the developer will continue to work on this app because the potential is there (it did discover my UPNP devices).

Dont buy this. It barely works with video.

Doesnt seem to work for me with windows media server or ps3 media server. Got a few videos working under tversity but anything involving transcoding just froze. Maybe with enough hours of fiddling you could get it working but Ive already wasted enough time.

Much better interface in this version. Easier to use. Thanks.

I really didnt expect much, given the reviews, but this is just incredible for my purposes. I have a media server PC in my basement connected to a networked surround sound stereo receiver in my living room. (Denon 3808 Ci). I use Twonky Media Manager software on my pc. I installed this little $5 app expecting a big hassle, but it INSTANTLY recognized my Media Server and Stereo receiver. I have a music library of over 5,000 songs and it browses faster than iTunes and INSTANTLY streams them to my living room stereo. This is the best app Ive ever bought for my iPhone. Excellent, excellent work guys!!! Thank you!!!
